Hi there—I'm Olivia
Project manager. Parent. Expat residing in Toronto, Canada.
Several years back I moved here with my family. What began as a short-term assignment gradually became a whole new phase of life overseas.
How It Started
Relocating to Canada wasn’t part of the long-range plan. Like many expat moves, it started as a job opportunity and soon grew into something more significant.
The initial months were demanding — unfamiliar systems, new routines, fresh expectations. Everyday tasks seemed more complicated than they ought to be.
The Adjustment Period
There was culture shock, doubt, and plenty of learning by doing. Yet gradually, routines settled in. We found places that suited us, met other families, and began crafting something that felt steady.
Why I Built Dovra Leran Otiv
Most information online was either corporate relocation guidance or shallow tourism content. What was missing was an honest, everyday family viewpoint.
This site exists to fill that gap — practical advice drawn from real living in Canada.
What This Site Covers (And What It Doesn't)
This site is about:
- Practical insights from living in Canada
- Centered on family life and everyday realities
- Updated whenever a real change occurs
This site isn't:
- Not a tourism authority resource
- Not a sponsored review platform
- Not a generic travel blog
Looking Ahead
Our stay in Canada continues, as does the learning journey. As long as the information remains helpful, I’ll keep documenting what we discover.
If you have questions about family life in Toronto or anywhere in Canada, please feel free to reach out.
Best regards,
Olivia
